Group Readings 6th marking period
For the end of the year, I'd like to break the class into smaller reading and discussion groups prior to the ELA test. Each group will do background research on the author and the works. The final project will be a 5 page paper on a topic of your choice from your readings and a class presentation about the author and his novels/stories/plays.
Please choose a group to join based on your reading interests. The Shakespeare group will be doing "read alouds" (it's a play, after all).
Group 1:
Hawthorne, The Scarlet Letter or
Hawthorne, The House of Seven Gables
Several short stories
Group 2:
Melville, Billy Budd and several short stories
Group 3:
Shakespeare, Much Ado About Nothing, Hamlet
